Why IRON NEST says not enough charges
The official Steam description ties propellant charge count directly to ballistic calculation and gun elevation. When the required charge count, available powder, and loaded setup do not line up, treat the problem as a firing-solution and supply check instead of compensating with a guessed elevation.
Check powder charges before changing elevation
Confirm the target range and the charge count used by the firing solution. If you change the number of charges, calculate elevation again for that charge count before firing. A different charge count is a different ballistic setup.
- Re-check target range and the current firing solution.
- Confirm how many powder charges the solution expects.
- Confirm how many charges are available and already loaded.
- Recalculate elevation after any charge-count change.
If the gun is already loaded incorrectly
A developer-marked Steam answer says a loaded gun cannot simply be unloaded. If too much powder is already loaded, recalculate the elevation for the loaded charge count when the situation allows it; otherwise use the other gun or fire and reload correctly rather than assuming the excess powder can be removed.
If the problem is low powder supply
The developer FAQ identifies the Requisition Console as a source of additional powder charges and mission support. If the firing solution is valid but supply is the limiting factor, check requisition options instead of changing ballistic inputs blindly.
