IRON NEST Turret Controls Guide — Load, Rotate, Elevate & Fire

Follow a pre-fire control checklist for loading, turret movement, elevation and firing, with current-build details clearly separated from community habits.

Quick answer

Treat the IRON NEST turret like a state machine: a correct firing solution is useless if the selected gun is not loaded, the charge is wrong, the elevation or bearing has not reached the intended setting, or the gun is still cycling. The official store description confirms hydraulics, gunlaying, loading and firing are active parts of the simulator, but this page intentionally avoids inventing exact keybinds before a current-build control pass is captured. For practical play, prepare the solution first, move the turret deliberately, load the intended ammunition and propellant, verify the chosen gun is ready, then fire and immediately begin the next reload/reposition step. Use the troubleshooting page if a ready-looking gun still refuses to fire.

Pre-fire checklist

Verify target, shell, charge, bearing, elevation, gun selection and readiness in the UI before firing.

Loading and reload rhythm

Do not wait until after impact to think about the next shot. In timed modes, use the reload cycle to prepare movement or the second gun.

Two-gun control

Current linked/staged behavior is version-sensitive. Use the dedicated Use Both Guns page rather than treating historical demo behavior as current fact.

FAQ

Why will the turret not fire?

Check the whole firing state: shell/load state, charge, elevation, bearing, gun readiness and any mission-specific condition before assuming a bug.

Are the two guns controlled identically?

The current release behavior should be verified in-game; use the dedicated two-gun page for staged or linked workflows.
